Nicole Mann, LMSW, MBA joined the EveryChild team in 2023 as our Executive Director. Nicole has spent her career focusing on programming for youth that is more preventative, family-centered, and community-based. Nicole lives in Rock Island with her daughter, Charlie, and their two dogs, Moe and Daisy.
The organization was previously known as the Child Abuse Council. The name did not fully represent who they are, their mission, and was alarming to prospective program participants without concern of abuse. They began in 1977 with focus on children birth to age 18. Their primary focus is now birth to age 5 because it is a critical time in a child's life. EveryChild is a bi-state, regional nonprofit agency that provides child abuse prevention, education, and treatment programs for children and families. Their goals are to support a safe and nurturing home, open opportunity for secure parent-child relationships, and support a healthy environment for growth and development.
Their programs include new dads training, court appointed advocates for children in foster care (CASA), a community based collaboration called All Our Kids Network securing coordinated services and support for pregnant moms and young children, Mississippi Valley Child Protection Center providing forensic interviews, medical exams, and advocacy for abused children, Doula services for prenatal and postnatal services, military family support, in-home support, therapy for traumatized children, and education to help a child identify dangerous situations.
