Andy was celebrating his last day of freedom before the beginning of school activities.
Wayne was looking forward to a visit from his daughter, Asrielle.
Paul had a flaw fixed in his flooring. The contractor was worked under the curious supervision of Paul’s cat.
John will be visiting Jim Gilman at Friendship Manor’s Silver Cross. Jim is temporarily residing in room 146 while awaiting further treatment in Iowa City. John’s wife was able to watch a Cardinal rookie hit 3 homeruns in his first at-bats in the majors.
Kathy had a sad dollar in memory of her mom, who passed away on August 08 at age 90. Her A/C failed the next day, but was quickly fixed, and was under warranty. She has adopted her mom’s dog, a mini dachshund.
Christie was happy that the grandkids were going back to school on Thursday. Mixed emotions, for sure!
Marcy – A red neck cruise was in the works for the coming weekend.
Bill was happy that the Baraboo clan stopped by for the 2nd consecutive weekend, a sad dollar for the fact that they had to come to town due to a funeral.
Randy is happy that we have most of the gift cards, sad that we still are a few short.
Dave Hodge of World Relief is happy that his daughter, formerly a refugee with World Relief, has become a US Citizen and thus is eligible to be adopted by Dave and his wife.
Terry loves to watch the Indiana Fever. Went for a spin on his new exercise bike. Also was able to watch his grandson and fellow 1st year cadets go through a parade ceremony as they formally entered West Point.
Aiden had a very stressful day, is happy that the day is over. Among other things he narrowly missed being scammed; luckily, he avoided the situation.
George was happy to witness his grandson’s full-immersion baptism.

Amber O'Brien did the honors of Happy Dollar Collection. I don't think everyone sweated as much as when The Heavy, George McDoniel handles collection.
Christie was happy that the grands are excited about school starting.
John's daughter retired from teaching. Vickie's eye appointment went well. His grandson took a job at college working in a preschool. He stopped to see our buddy, Jim Gilman. He went to Iowa City on Wednesday for appointments. Generally, he's doing well. We miss you Jim! We look forward to your recovery!
Paul had a grumpy dollar. Allergy season is back. He wants it over.
Terry was happy about the Fever win over Chicago 113 to 90.
Andy's 8 am lecture went “swimmingly”. It was organic chemistry. The 12:30 class has 40 students and half are freshmen. Their continued presence is classified as “we'll see”.
Aidan's fiance's embassy appointment was cancelled but they fill promising the process is still moving forward.
Fernando (guest) had a busy weekend but he enjoyed it.
Randy lost his grandmowers. They are back to school.
Marcy enjoyed the “redneck cruise” with Kathy. Kathy won the trip at last year's wine tasting. The were on the Rock River in a pontoon. They shot golf balls off the deck, fished, and “may” have had a few shots.
Sue is happy about a 120-day job she'll be doing at the IRS. It is with the branch that manages Tax Counseling for the Elderly and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
Amber is heading to Illinois State to spend time with her collage roommate. They will be attending a celebration of life for one of their other classmates.
